Early life

I was born in Danville and raised in Pittsylvania County. I've been a City resident since 1999. Two of my daughters graduated from GW. My oldest taught in the DPS for three years. 

 

Education

I went to work in an automotive dealership directly after high school.  I have since earned an associate degree in Career & Technical Education from Lenior CC and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix. 

Career

I have always been goal-driven. I knew at an early age I wanted to work on cars for a career. When I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted to return and teach automotive. I achieved both of those goals. I spent 18 years working at the same dealership. For the last 21 years, I have taught automotive service at a high school in North Carolina.
